Doi Paneer

Doi Paneer /Curd Paneer

This is a very simple Bengali delicacy which is very famous in Bengali community. This one tastes very good and easy to digest. Best goes with Roti, Paratha and fried rice or BengaliPulao.







Ingredients:

1. Paneer (400 gms)
2. Curd (250 gms)
3. Vegetable Oil
4. Cashew 7-8 pieces
5. Onion paste (one)
6. Green Chilli Paste (1 Spoon)
7. Jeera
8.. Bay leaf
9.. Cardamom 
10. Black pepper
11. Kasauri Methi (Optional)
12. Cinnamon Stick (One)
13. Laung
14. 2 Red chillies
15. 2 Green Chillies



Process.

Take a pan. Put 2 spoon of oil and shallow fry the paneer cubes.Once Paneer fried then take it out from the pan. 

Again put 2 spoon of vegetable oil into pan and heat it well. Once oil gets hot, then add some jeera, black pepper, cinnamon stick, bay leaf and 2 dry chilies in it  and fry it until the aroma came out.Once the aroma started coming out then add the onion paste in it and fry it well. Once onion get fried it will start leaving oil. Then add green chilies paste  and Cashew paste and stir it well for. You can add some water so that the masala wont get burn.

Once the masala is done then low the flame and take a bowl of curd and add it. Mix the curd well before adding it to masala. Cook it for 3 more minutes and add one bowl of water after that. Once the gravy is ready then add salt as per the taste and 1 spoon sugar in it. Mix it well. Now add fired paneer cubes in the gravy and cook it for another 3 mins.

Once it is ready add 2 green chilies and kasauri methi in it. cover the lid for 5 more mins and your dish is ready. :)
